Every once in a while, you hit a road block and you are sitting there looking at three weeks of coupons and thinking to yourself…there is no way I am going to get this organized in two hours. Rather than beat myself up, because this is WHO I am and WHAT I do, I decided to scrap the plan and start over…sort of.
First, I organized the coupons I had already clipped by date. The old coupons or the ones that would expire before I could use them were put into the recycling.
Next, the pile was filed by category into my prepared binder.
Finally, I quit cutting coupons out all at once.
The new inserts are kept together. I make a document with the paper date, insert type, and the item with the amount. Rather than the old time of about two hours or more, this system is at about twenty minutes. Even in my most busy times, I have twenty minutes.
Visit http://www.sundaycouponpreview.com to get this list. While you are there subscribe to getting the news feed in your inbox.
I also suggest the following blog sites. They offer a lot of stores matched offers and much to my shock, list the insert and coupon title.
Now, instead of looking through my filed book, I can find the date in the coupon insert, and cut out as many coupons as I need. I would recommend no less than two Sunday papers to get the amount of coupons you need.
